Ponfeigh’s signature brand that reclaims Western Pennsylvania’s roots as the birthplace of American whiskey. Rye grains are all grown naturally without any pesticides or herbicides and in counties that lie within the Monongahela River Basin. Because of the uniqueness of our soils this unique Rye produces a spirit that has aromas of baking spice and dark fruits while it is pleasing to the eye with rich red caramel color. The flavor profile is vanilla, cooked sugars peppery Rye spices and dark fruits.

Our Posted Rye-Shine is straight off the still and comes in an easy carry flask for your camping trip or next outdoor adventure! In the early days, American Whiskey was an unaged spirit. Our Posted Rye Shine is a nod to this pivotal era. Good whiskey in the barrel = great whiskey after aging. Rye Shine is sweet with subtle notes of local grain, vanilla, and a touch of maple.

Maryland is a smoother and less spicey whiskey that is traditionally made of many different combinations of grains but always predominantly with Rye. Our mash bill adheres to the historic roots of this whiskey and has notes of oak and dried fruit while the sweetness of the corn is found in the back of your palate. The caramel color is less red that its purer PA cousin but seems sweeter in the nose and delights even the average whiskey drinker.

100% MOLASSES, FINISHED IN PONFEIGH RYE BARRELS
Rum was the dominant spirit until 1807 when the notorious Triangle Trade came to a sudden halt and so did the supply of the much loved spirit. Monongahela Rye whiskey filled the need quite nicely, and Western Pennsylvania had a virtual monopoly on its production. Our Rye cask finished Rum mixes the traditions of Western Pennsylvania with the traditions of the Caribbean to make a very unique spiced rum. Flavored with special spice blend and vanilla while pulling in the oak and Rye spices from the barrel. We sweeten it just a tad with a local caramelized syrup.

100% JUNIPER WITH BOTANICALS, FINISHED IN PONFEIGH RYE BARRELS
In keeping with of the Rye production of Western Pennsylvania; Ponfeigh set out to make a whiskey drinkers gin. Ponfeigh imports the Gin and ages it in Maryland Rye barrels for twelve months. The Gin has botanicals of angelica, coriander, juniper, lemon peel, licorice, orange peel that are pleasant but not overpowering of the spices it receives from the barrel. The Ginskey has a light caramel color and has slight notes of citrus, honeysuckle, and elderflower. The palate will experience both lemongrass and Rye spices and the spirit will roll out of the glass with a creamy mouth feel.
